Mari Visscher

Mari Visscher grew up in Muskegon, Michigan before relocating to Ypsilanti to study International Affairs and Women’s and Gender studies at Eastern Michigan University. Throughout college she developed personal investments in gender and sexuality politics, economic justice, and collective social welfare. During her time at EMU she served as President of the Model United Nations Association, and went on to serve as a representative of the Women’s International League of Peace and Freedom at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. She loves visiting National Parks and talking about hospitable pedestrian infrastructure.
