While studying psychology and behavioral science at the University of Kansas, Michelle Oboro worked as a social justice educator and served as a research assistant on a large project in the School of Social Welfare focused on the child welfare system. She also worked at the Willow Domestic Violence Shelter, supporting families with everything from exit plans to accessing community resources. The best thing about Michelle is being a mother to her 1 year old son. She is an advocate primarily to set an example for him and hopes he's inspired to become one someday.
