how to apply

The PFJ hiring process has two steps: an application, followed by an in-person or video interview.

To submit an application, please email with a resume, your most recent transcript, and a writing sample that answers the three prompts below (max 250 words each).

  • Explain your interest in becoming an Advocate with PFJ

  • Tell us about a time that you personally made an impact

  • Tell us about a time when you had to overcome a failure or challenge

We are currently hiring Advocates to join PFJ’s new program in Harris County, Texas (Houston).

  • Applications will be accepted until June 28, 2019

  • We will notify all applicants of whether you are invited to interview by July 19, 2019

  • Interviews will take place in person or by video during the week of July 29. They will include traditional interview questions, as well as several role-playing exercises

  • Successful candidates must be available for training the week of September 9, 2019 and to begin work in Harris County by September 16, 2019.
